How To Gracefully Charge Planning Fees

Generally speaking you get what you pay for. With my level of experience, access to deals and upgrades, and attention to detail – when you work with me you’ll save more than your planning fee investment and you’ll have a great experience.

When someone is doing work for you and you’re not paying them, how can you expect them to follow through on the work? If another client calls them or another opportunity comes up that pays, they may jump on it and leave you hanging in the wind… AND you couldn’t be upset for them dropping the ball on you because you weren’t paying them.

Also, if they do follow through and book your trip for free, how do you know that they will actually find you the best trip for YOU based on your specific needs and desires, instead of booking you with the company that pays them highest commission and/or just getting your trip booked as fast as possible so they can make some money?

​If you’re not paying them, then they’re not necessarily going to have your best interest at heart – and you can’t blame them because you’re not paying them. With my service, you’re making an investment in me, and for that investment, you’re going to get the absolute best trip for YOU at the absolute best price possible.

Jane, I’d be thrilled to work with you to plan your dream trip to Santorini. To recap, your budget is $15K, it’s important to you that you and your husband fly business class, you’d like to stay in a villa with a kitchen, a pool, and amazing views, you’re looking at dates in January and would like to keep the trip around 12 days long, and you’d like to do a couple of outings while you’re there such as a day trip on a catamaran.

As you know, I specialize in Santorini– I know the ins and outs of it, the best outings and catamaran’s, can get you the best accommodations at the best rates, I’ll make sure you have all of the info you need on visitors Visa’s, airport transportation, and more. I’ll handle every detail so you can focus on packing and being excited.

Here’s how the process works… first you pay a planning fee of $200 which you can pay via credit card or Paypal, then I’ll email you your receipt along with my Greece Travel Guide that has all of the details about getting your visitor Visa, and other things you need to know before your adventure. Because of my expertise and access to deals and upgrades not available to the public, I’ll save you more money than your planning fee investment – so having me do all of the work for you, will essentially cost you nothing. And in fact, most of the time I save my clients quite a bit of money, so hiring me to do all of the work ends up costing you less than if you did the work yourself.



​Once your planning fee has been paid, then I’ll get started planning your adventure. Within 10 days I’ll send you a custom designed Santorini adventure that includes your airline travel, options for your accommodations, tours and so on. Then we’ll schedule a follow up call to review and discuss the options. Once you’ve decided on your selections, I’ll book your trip and you can pack your bags!

Your planning fee should go to YOU, not your host agency. Give people as many options as you can to pay the fee. You want to make it easy for people. PayPal and Venmo are a MUST. More options to add are:
